Do you mind if I put a link to your site in an article I am writing?

I am writing an article on basic chicken raising for a friends blog/site. I would like to put a link to your site in the article. The size of my article is limited and I cannot include as much in depth info on some subjects as I would like to. If the readers of my friends blog want more in depth answers, I would like to direct them to you. Please let me know if this would be a problem.
