I am using an incubator to hatch but I experienced a high failure rate after most of the eggs turned out with a dry membrane with fully developed chicks inside. this caused a high mortality.

What is it I should do to prevent such in the future? I decided to crack the eggs after the 22nd day and that is how i discovered the above problem.
