Bumble Foot in chickens can be very painful with wounds open to Staph Infections. It's very important to keep chickens with this problem in a dry clean pen, with soft bedding, and to treat the wounds on the bottoms of the feet with antibiotic ointment a couple of times a day, at least.
As you might imagine, sore feet are going it make it very painful for a chicken to get around to food and water. A serious bacterial infection could make a chicken feel very ill and weak.
Trouble with pooping can be a sign of dehydration from not drinking enough.
Bumble Foot can be caused by confinement on rough surfaces, wire, or a build up of droppings. A chicken with this problem needs relief from the cause of these wounds, whatever that might be, in order to help the feet heal.
