LEG LUMP

I have a hen that has a big hard place growing out of her leg. It looks like a tree stump, smaller version, she cannot walk on it. Do you have any suggestions?

Wish I could help. No idea what you are describing. No photo. You didn't say on what part of the leg this growth is, the size, shape, how long this has been going on, if any kind of wound connected to this problem.

Almost sounds like you are describing a spur. Some hens grow spurs. Not as elaborate as males, but sometimes just a little bump, sometimes more complete.

Are you sure this growth is connected to the walking problem?
